Her chest of drawers, that is. When Ann Marie of Twice Lovely Furniture and Home Décor came upon a beautiful wooden chest of drawers, she knew she had to have it. But one thing was missing—part of the front left foot.
Ann Marie wasn’t concerned. She had been wanting to try J-B Weld’s KwikWood Epoxy Putty, and she thought this was the perfect opportunity. KwikWood is specially formulated to rebuild wood. It’s great for furniture repairs because it cures to the same density as wood and becomes an integral part of the piece.
Using an entire tube, Ann Marie kneaded the KwikWood then shaped the putty to fill in the missing piece of the foot.
“It sets up in about an hour, and you can sand it and paint it. It worked so great! It’s a great tool to have in your furniture refab arsenal!” says Ann Marie. “You can’t even tell there was ever a problem.”
